Sastri & Shah is one of the oldest firms of Chartered Accountants in India. It was established in 1931 by two visionaries CA C.S.SASTRI and CA RAMANLAL BHOGILAL SHAH. CA C.S.SASTRI was one of the founding members of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was instrumental in getting the logo and motto of the Institute from Shri Aurobindo Ghosh of Pondicherry in 1949. The logo and motto are still in vogue. He was the first President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from South India.

CA RAMANLAL BHOGILAL SHAH left practice to become the Chairman of a leading Scheduled Bank.

The three sons of CA C.S.SASTRI, CA C.N.PRASAD, CA C.SRI KRISHNA and CA C.SRI RAM were all Partners of Sastri & Shah.

CA C.R.KUMAR, B.Sc., FCA, CISA, is the eldest grandson of the Founding Partner CA C.S.SASTRI and son of CA C.N.PRASAD. He is the third generation Chartered Accountant in his family . He is currently in-charge of Sastri & Shah, Chennai.

Sastri & Shah has been in field of Practice of Statutory Audits and Assurance since its inception in 1931.

The firm has been handling statutory audits of banks, Government companies ( C & AG ) large corporates in areas of tyre manufacturing, plantations and others. They have conducted stock audits in a few Pharma companies.
